His highness Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahrudi regarded Qom as the cultural capital of the country and asked to solve its existing issues.

Thursday, on 1392/10/26 , his highness expressed his satisfaction from the appointment of Ayatollah Salehi Manesh as the Governor-General of Qom and considered this city as the base of Islamic revolution and the true Islam, and by mentioning the various problems of this city, he emphasized that these limitations and problems should be removed.

His highness Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahrudi lied stress on using the ideas of religious scholars and added: ``the new government is expected to quickly settle the problems of this city with further efforts and the Governor General of Qom should strengthen its relationship with the Governor General of Tehran and move in the same direction.

In another part of his speech, his highness alluded to some knowledgeable and pious personalities of Howza of Qom and said that by using these great scholars, Howza Elmiyyah can take part into the extensive scientific and religious activities even in the virtual space and also it can change itself into the shining source of the jurisprudence of AhlulBayt (peace be upon them) and promote the position of Qom even more than before.

In this meeting, Governor General of Qom regarded his highness Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahrudi as one of the greatest theorists of the revolution, jurisprudence and principles and said the government is determined to take advantage of the great views of his highness and the other Islamic scholars

In addition to giving a report on the latest status of Qom, Ayatollah Salehi Manesh talked about the various visits he made to the several development projects and said: ``in spite of hardworking forces in the government, we are trying to gradually fix the defects.``
