Today morning (Monday 2nd May 2016) U.N.’s representative in Iraq met and conversed with Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi.

At the start of this meeting; which was held in the Office of Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi, U.N.’s representative in Iraq with expressing his happiness from journey to Qom and meeting with Grand Ayatollah, presented a report about Iraq’s situation and his organization’s activities in Iraq.

After that, Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi gave his few guidelines with the exact analysis of Iraq and its neighbor’s situation and review about ISIS phenomenon.

He focused on the point that fight against terrorism and ISIS is not possible without understanding the arising factors of this ill-omened phenomenon.

Addressing to U.N., He surprised with no effort for deep knowledge of terror and terrorism’s roots in Iraq.

Reminding some terrible crimes which was offended by this extremist group in the Iraq, Syria and other Islamic states on the name of religion, Islam and Quran and referring ISIS phenomenon and Takfiri terrorist groups in the zone to two basic factors, religious extremism and ominous political motives, described the cause of these two factors.

He said that religious extremism in Islamic world came into existence by Wahhabi thoughts which was entered in religious geography of Islamic world by Mohammad bin Abdul wahhab after First World War and resulted into ominous effects. Among them he enumerated spreading of violence, anti-human activities and relating it to Islam and Quran besides this causing strangulation and mass panic, severe and mortal punishment of objectors and many other crimes in the governance of nation.

Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi pointing out the intensification of Saudi Government’s foul political activities after success of Islamic revolution of Iran and establishing government of Islamic republic as an executing factor and government assistant of Wahhabi thoughts; evaluated Shi’ism and Shia thoughts as a complete opponent of Wahhabi thoughts because the Islam exserted from Shia thoughts is rational and democratic.

He acknowledged that oppositeness of Wahhabi thoughts with thoughts of Islamic revolution of Iran is due to incomparable approach of Islamic world to Islamic government’s view of Imam Khomeini, Islamic republic and Shi’ite Islam which is based on logic and rational practice. He added that after success of Islamic revolution, religious thought of Wahhabism has undergone a great humiliation and involved in open support of world arrogance and hegemony system for confrontation with strategic influence of Iran in the world and its surrounding zone because of its political motives and prevention of spreading the thoughts of Shi’ite revolution.

He added that Islamic government’s view is democratic in country ruling and based on Islamic unity regarding to interaction with other Islamic Sects and seeks strong and expanded international relations with other Islamic countries and defends the oppressed Palestine nation, furthermore wants to political and cultural co-operation with all Islamic countries against the common enemy of Islamic world means Zionism. so development of Islamic government day by day caused into using all  power in damaging the Iran image and Shi’ite thoughts by Saudi Arabia.

He mentioned that dirty policy of making busy the Islamic nations in fighting with each other and negligence of actual enemy is the arrogance politics and executed by Saud dynasty in Islamic world, who introduced the Shi’ite as a first enemy of Muslims after declaring the Shias as non-believers by spreading wrong interpretation of religion and Quran and proved that Allah has demanded from Muslims the assassination and enmity of Shias and thus offered a great service to Zionist regime and slowed the downfall of this regime.

He noticed the point that we don’t observe any terrorist group who is the follower of Prophet Mohammad’s dynasty and Shi’ite. He evaluated the declaration of Hezbollah of Lebanon as a terrorist a clear sophistry which is propounded for laughable dream of Israel’s existence in the zone.

Grand Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi nominated Hezbollah, Hamas and Palestine Jihadi groups as a freedom fighters who are active in public, country and their whole land’s defense, against the real enemy of Islamic world and they never involved in assassination of any innocent in any place of world. They only oppose and seek the destruction of usurper regime of Israel.

In the last he emphasized that fighting against terrorism in the zone is impossible without understanding of these facts and demanded him to convey the true situation of Islamic world, Iraq and terrorism to U.N. and asked the U.N. to take proper steps regarding to terror and terrorism and avoid the double policy.
